One Gold and  one Silver collects the poet on two dates in Jacó and Parrita made so far in contention for a circuit that goes to its third and last appointment that will meet with the grand finale of DayStar National Tour in June, Ferrandino which should ensure a place at the end of the event to lift their first trophy of Champion.

The conditions for the second date in Palo Seco were constant and excellent quality. The great wave expected downed a meter and half and in the middle of chocolate waves came the second action in an area that is ready to host major events thanks to the vision of the local municipality.

It came the final of the event, where opponents Alejandro Vaca (7.46), Sebastian Madriz (5.54), Diego Ouvellette (4.30) could not against the 9.73-to 20 possible - that the Ramonense combined, and where he got the second highest wave of the date with 6.00 points left where he outs his repertoire and rang the applause with a 'tail slide' to complete.

"I want to thanks the Federation and all those who made possible the organization of this competition. This year my goal is clear and I will do everything humanly possible to be Champion in the two circuits. I'm fine, but I can not trust, "said Ferrandino.

The highest wave of the event was the work of Sebastian Madriz but in Round 1, after leaving a tube of 2 meters left and only a clean exit. The highest combination of date was to Alberto Gil who scored 11.23 in Round 2, Gil, reached the semifinals.

Gianni Ferrandino, 29 years old, is reaching his highest level between two competitions that have him as favorite for the title Metropolitan and National Tour Circuit in the Rookie category, a title wich can be won once. In Playa Hermosa near Jaco in June due in both championships, securing a spot in the final and so close a great year.

Felipe Pozuelo repeats in Junior

  Another who has almost everything ready to lift the  Sub18 Championship trophy is Felipe Pozuelo from San José who came to his second gold in Palo Seco after he overtook his opponets with a combination of 9.10 in the final.

Alejandro Vaca (Open finalist) was approached by combining 9.00 and with his best wave in the final minutes of the series, however Pozuelo ensured his series in the first 10 minutes. For his part, Daniel Pozuelo of 13 years reached 4.74 and left the third. The fourth was for Julian Aspinoll with 3.13.

 "I felt very good because I could adapt to this wave that I liked. It has the size and shape  where I usually surf" said the elder brother of Pozuelo.

And finally in Women's Open, the first gold to be delivered to the championship was for Monica Madrigal than doubled their combined counter to get 6.17 compared with 3.10 and 2.76 Denisse Mora Kristel Stanley.

The next and last date of the Metropolitan Circuit moves to Curve Playa Hermosa, Jacó on Friday June 25 in a final that is mixed with the final of the National Circuit.

Giannio Ferrandino ganó Palo Seco y es favorito al título

El Ramonense Giannio Ferrandino se impuso el pasado sábado en las olas de Palo Seco de Parrita, Puntarenas, durante la segunda fecha del Circuito Metropolitano, en la que representa su segunda final del Campeonato y ahora es favorito al título gracias a que es el único corredor con dos finales acumuladas.

Una Plata y un Oro recolecta el poeta en dos fechas realizadas en Jacó y Parrita en lo que va de contienda, para un Circuito que se dirige a su tercera y última cita que se juntará con la gran final del Circuito Nacional DayStar en junio próximo, donde Ferrandino deberá asegurar un cupo en la final del evento para levantar su primer trofeo de Campeón.

Las condiciones de la segunda fecha en Palo Seco fueron constantes y de excelente calidad. El gran oleaje que se esperaba bajó su tamaño un metro, y en medio de olas color chocolate, se vino la segunda acción en una zona que está lista para albergar importantes eventos gracias a la visión de la Municipalidad local.

Se vino la final del evento, donde los contrincantes Alejandro Vaca (7.46), Sebastián Madriz (5.54), Diego Ouvellette (4.30), no pudieron contra los 9.73 –de 20 posibles- que el ramonense combinó, y donde  metió la segunda olas más alta de la fecha con 6.00 puntos en una izquierda donde sacó su repertorio e hizo sonar los aplausos con un ‘tail slide’ que completó.

“Quiero agradecer a la Federación y a todos los que hacen posible la organización de esta competencia. Este año mi meta es clara y voy a hacer todo lo humanamente posible por quedar Campeón en los dos Circuitos. Voy bien, pero no me puedo confiar”, dijo Ferrandino.  

La ola más alta del evento fue obra del otro finalista Sebastián Madriz pero en Ronda 1, después de salir de un tubo de 2 metros de izquierda y con una salida más que limpia. La combinación más alta de la fecha por su lado, fue para Alberto Gil que metió 11.23 en Ronda 2; Gil, alcanzó las semifinales.           

Giannio Ferrandino de 29 años de edad, está llegando a su mejor nivel en medio de dos competencias que lo tienen como favorito al título: Circuito Metropolitano y Circuito Nacional en la categoría Novatos, título que se puede ganar una sola vez. En Playa Hermosa de Jacó en Junio próximo debe en ambos campeonatos, asegurar un cupo en la final y así cerrar un gran año.

Otro que tiene casi todo listo para levantar el trofeo de Campeón sub 18 es el josefino Felipe Pozuelo que llegó a su segundo Oro en Palo Seco al sobrepasar a sus contarios con una combinación de 9.10 en la final.

Alejandro Vaca (finalista Open) se le acercó al combinar 9.00 y con su mejor ola en los últimos minutos de la serie; sin embargo, Pozuelo aseguró su serie en los primeros 10 minutos. Por su lado, Daniel Pozuelo de 13 años llegó a los 4.74 y se dejó el tercer lugar. La cuarta casilla fue para Julian Aspinoll con 3.13.

“Me sentí muy bien porque me pude adaptar a esta ola que me gustó mucho. Tiene el tamaño y a la forma que las olas donde suelo surfear”, comentó el hermano mayor de los Pozuelo.     

Y finalmente en Open Femenino, el primer Oro que se entrega en el campeonato fue para Mónica Madrigal que duplicó la combinación de sus contrarias al meter  6.17 frente a los 3.10 de Denisse Mora y 2.76 de Kristel Stanley.

La próxima y última fecha del Circuito Metropolitano se muda a La Curva de  Playa Hermosa, Jacó el viernes 25 de junio en una final que  se mezcla con la final del Circuito Nacional.
